The Cota Indigenous Forest Brigade is made up of community members with deep roots in the territory, committed to the conservation, preservation, and care of the environment. We are a first-response team trained to handle emergencies involving forest fires. The brigade includes firefighters, environmental engineers, teachers, weavers, traditional knowledge keepers, cooks, nursing assistants, and forestry equipment operators, all of whom contribute their expertise to form a comprehensive and strong team. The brigade maintains a continuous process of training and community outreach both within and outside the territory. It is the first indigenous forest brigade in Cundinamarca.
