Dr. Prados is a Senior Research Scientist at the Earth and Space Institute, University of Maryland Baltimore County. She has a Ph.D. in chemistry and a master’s in environmental policy. She conducts research on the social drivers of disasters and the ability to integrate technical information into disaster and air quality management. She has 20 years’ experience in science policy and the design of research and communications tools for making satellite remote sensing data and information relevant to environmental managers and policy makers. She primarily conducts research in South America, Spain, Portugal and the U. S. Dr. Prados has an interest in air quality policy in the U.S, where she has served in various advisory roles.
