Dr. Arindam Roy contributes expert scientific leadership and advice across the Clean Air Fund’s grant making, strategy design, monitoring, evaluation and learning, donor proposals and external influencing. Given the severity of the impacts of the vicious cycle among air pollution, climate change and wildfires, the Clean Air Fund advocates for governments to take note of the interconnectedness among these factors and take an integrated approach to address them, rather than taking a reactive approach to wildfire.

Dr. Roy pursued a PhD in Environmental Science from Bose Institute, University of Kolkata, India, and has worked in measuring and modeling Short-Lived Climate Forcers in different atmospheric environments over India. Arindam has also worked for a civil society organisation where he directly planned and implemented climate adaptation and mitigation projects in India, Bangladesh and Bhutan, and has co-founded a climate communication platform in Bengali, his native language.
